  Located in Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room (IPDM E/R), it runs the starter motor. The starter relay is turned ON by the Body Control Module (BCM) when the ignition switch is in START position. IPDM E/R transmits the starter relay ON signal to BCM via CAN communication. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets when the BCM receives starter relay ON signal (CAN) from IPDM E/R even if BCM turns the starter relay OFF.
