P0068 SUBARU Description

The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor and Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor are used to inform the Engine Control Module (ECM) of the pressures the intake is experiencing and the amount of the incoming airflow. The Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor monitors and informs the Engine Control Module of the pressure changes in the intake manifold, whereas the Mass Airflow Sensor measures the amount in the air coming into the intake system. The ECM uses these signals in order to properly compensate fuel control depending on engine load. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets when the MAP and MAF sensor readings are not within the specified range.
