P090D MERCURY Description
Clutch motor 2 is a 3-phase bi-directional Direct Current (DC) motor that is controlled by the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The TCM monitors the clutch motor position using three Hall-effect sensor inputs. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set when the TCM detects a short to power on one of the 3 phase circuits.
