P1CEF DODGE Description

Oil to the bearings in the turbocharger is supplied through a hose connected to the filter head. In cold temperatures, oil becomes more viscous and hence travels slowly through the oil passages. If the turbo spins at higher speeds before the oil reaches the turbo, the bearings in the turbo fail. So, at cold ambient temperatures, the torque and power available to the engine are being limited to limit the turbo speeds until the oil reaches the turbo. Depending on the Ambient / coolant temperature, the torque de-rate is applied from 2 seconds to 200 seconds. This DTC will not turn on the MIL lamp.
