P1D77 HONDA Description
The voltage control unit (VCU) controls the voltage and electric power between the battery module and the motor power inverter (MPI) module (traction/generator) according to the command from the motor control module (generator). The motor control module (generator) detects current by the I1 current sensor (primary side current) within the VCU to protect the internal switching device and the reactor. The motor control module (generator) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC when variation of the difference with the VCU output current is equal to or more than the prescribed current continuously for the prescribed time or more while operating with small difference in the voltage between the VCU input and output.
