P1D7A HONDA Description
The motor power inverter (MPI) module (traction/generator) and the voltage control unit (VCU) are cooled by the motor control module (traction) which operates the electric motor control module coolant pump monitoring the coolant temperature and the temperature of various components and sends a request for operation of the radiator fan to the powertrain control module (PCM). Since the reactor temperature and the IGBT temperature become nearly identical immediately after the engine is started when it is sufficiently cooled down, the motor control module (traction) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC when the difference between the reactor temperature and the IGBT temperature is equal to or more than the prescribed value continuously for the prescribed time or more.
