  The Folding Top Control (FTC) Module checks the integrity of the signal circuits from the folding top control switch at least once every 300 milliseconds. The folding top control switch has a constant battery positive voltage supplied. Pressing the folding top control switch to the open or close position will apply the battery positive voltage to the appropriate folding top control switch open or close signal circuit to the FTC module. The FTC module monitors these signal circuits to control the direction of the folding top.
