S17 is part of the Folding Top Front Location Pin Guide – Left assembly. The Folding Top Control (FTC) Module uses S17 to determine if the headliner dowel is present at the left front of the header. S17 is closed and pulls the signal circuit low when the dowel is not present. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets if an open or a short to ground are present on the signal circuit of S17.
