If the control module receives a signal from the outside temperature sensor corresponding to a temperature lower than -39 °C (-38.2 °F) (low signal) or higher than +129 °C (264.2 °F) (high signal) the control module interprets it as a fault and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored.
