P1D6E ACURA Description

The traction motor is cooled by an automatic transmission fluid (ATF)-based oil cooling system and the Motor Control Module (Traction) obtains the ATF temperature and traction motor temperature signals. Normally, the traction motor temperature and the ATF temperature become nearly the same value immediately after the traction motor is started when it is sufficiently cooled down. The motor control module (traction) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC when the difference between the ATF temperature and the traction motor temperature immediately after the motor is started is equal to or more than the prescribed value for the prescribed time or more.
