The Parking Aid Module (PAM) receives the Park-Reverse-Neutral-Drive-Low (PRNDL) state from the Instrument Cluster (IC) as a gateway message from the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set when a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the PAM receives an unknown PRNDL state message from the IC.
