P0069 AUDI Description

This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM) when the output from the manifold absolute pressure sensor and the barometric pressure sensor differ. Under certain conditions such as when the ignition is switched on (Key On, Engine Off) and under wide-open throttle conditions the signal from both sensors should correlate. This is due to the pressure in the intake manifold being close to atmospheric pressure under these conditions. The engine control module can use the throttle position signal and engine speed signal to calculate the expected manifold pressure if an anomaly is detected.
